Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8301
Hi all,
I have spent the day playing around with the InstaSpin Projects and Labs User's Guide, and have performed a handful of labs (mostly before lab 5) with my DRV8301 EVM Board to identify a small BLDC motor. These labs were successful so far.
I am developing my own hardware and hope to follow the labs to test the hardware is working when it is ready.
However I would like to use the Universal GUI for a more visual approach to completing these labs, and for testing and setting motor parameters with other motors in future. To do this the Universal GUI Readme says I should be compiling a .out file for the project_lab # I am completing, and that the project_lab # compiled will determine which functions are available (for example Speed Kp is not introduced until proj_lab05b and therefore cannot be adjusted until this lab is compiled).
Which project_lab should I compile if I wish to have all functions available in the Universal GUI? The labs user guide is very detailed and a little confusing in that it is not clear whether each lab adds to the previous labs, or whether some labs are independent. Also there are some labs I wish to skip such as designing my own motion sequence for example.
If I simply compile the .out for the last lab will this gain me access to all the functions in the GUI?
Regards,
Matt
