CCS/TMS320F28335: how to get value of SPIBRR

Part Number: TMS320F28335

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

I am using the TMS320f28335 with spi communication[eeprom-25v02s],I am not getting the value of which value I have to take for SPIBRR?
in below formula which valueI have to put into LSPCLK,if my eeprom has 40mhz frequency.plz pyt suggestion

SPICLK signal =LSPCLK / (SPIBRR + 1)  ...........SPIBRR = 3 to 127

SPICLK signal =LSPCLK/4,................,SPIBRR = 0, 1, or 2

  • Mahesh,

If the F28335 LSPCLK is set to 40Mhz, the maximum SPICLK possible is 10 MHz if SPIBRR is set to 0, 1, 2, or 3. (40 MHz/4). after that the SPICLK is equivalent to LSPCLK/(SPIBRR + 1). For example, if SPIBRR is set to 7, SPICLK will be 5 MHz (40 MHz / (7 + 1)).

I am not quite sure any other way to explain this. The User Guide provided the formulas that you shared which are correct and very simple.

    Thanks,
    Mark
