Dear sir,

I have a doubt about SCI module in 377D controller.

1) Is there any limit to choose low speed clock Range?

2) How much BuadRate possiable with 377D Controller?

3) If I use High BuadRate what are the problems will come?

please help me above doubts.........

Hi Ashrumochan,

On the low side, there should be no problem with setting the LSPCLK as low as the dividers allow (as long as you are OK with the resulting baud rate)

Hi Devin, Thanks for your reply. Actually i want to run sci with 2000000 baudrate speedon 28377D. Is it ok?

Hi Ashrumochan,

The maximum baud is LSPCLK/16, so If you set LSPCLK = SYSCLK = 200MHz it should be possible for the module to run at ~2M baud. However, you will need to use the formula in the TRM for baud rate calculation to see if you can get exactly 2.000000M baud. If not, then you can see if you can select an XTAL for the system with a different frequency that allows you to hit this.
