LAUNCHXL-F28379D: 16-bit ADC external VREFHI and VREFLO

Hello,

I´d like to use the 16-bit ADC´s on the F28379D. Therefore, I want to drive the VREFHI and VREFLO for the ADC_A externally, but I´m not able to find the necessary pins on the LaunchXL. Is this even possible, or can the VREFHI and VREFLO be only generated internally on the LaunchXL?

    Hi Manuel,

    If you look at the schematic (see C2000ware directory \c2000\C2000Ware_1_00_04_00\boards\LaunchPads\LAUNCHXL_F28379D) there is a reference IC and some buffers that are generating the VREFHI voltages for you.

    If you need a different voltage you can try swapping out the REFIC chip or you can try desoldering the REFIC chip and then soldering on some wire inputs for the reference voltage to be supplied from an external instrument.
