Part Number: TMS320F28379D

Tool/software: TI-RTOS

I am having troubles getting an example of TI-RTOS working on version 8 of CCS with the SMS320F28379D version 2 code. I  have downloaded Sys-bios as recommended in this thread:

However,  I receive an error when trying to import a project. For example, If I try to import the "hello"  /opt/ti/bios_6_70_01_03, I get an error box that states:

Issues that may require your attentions were encountered while importing the project(s). Reasons: See details below.

See details below.
Error: Device is either 'null' or is currently not recognized by CCS. See 'Help > Check for Updates' or visit CCS App Center to get the latest device support.

The project is not imported. I am left with no choice but to cancel the project. 

I need some help on this.

    How are you trying to import examples? Are you importing them through the Resource Explorer (View->Resource Explorer Classic)?

    Thank you very much. I was trying to import them using "project, import CCS project". Your tip brought up a much friendlier interface. Unfortunately, it's unclear to me what project best maps into the F28379D. It seems that I have a couple of choices, either the TMDXDOCKH52C1 experimenter's kit or the TMDXDOK28M36 Experiments kit. Which would be the closest match to the 28379D?

    Neither of those apply to the F2837xD. I suspect you're looking at the "TI-RTOS for C2000" section. Only the TI-RTOS kernel (SYS/BIOS) is supported on the F2837xD. Try looking at the "SYS/BIOS" section and you should be able to find your actual part number.
