Hi C2000 team.

After power on and before the software initialization, i.e. during DSP reset, what is the typical current consumption of a DSP (e.g. TMS320F28374S)? We need to know this information because there is a system self-start concern and we have to make sure the boot strap circuit can provide enough startup power.

For Delphine DSP (TMS320F28374S), we noticed there is no internal VREG for 1.2Vdd. Do you have any recommendations for external VREG circuit design (other than switching DC/DC converters)? If possible we prefer to using linear LDO instead of high-frequency switching power supply.

For your second question, one good option for an LDO is the TLV755P and family. You can also try using the WEBENCH designer on TI.com. Will get back to you on your first question.

In response to your first question on Power consumption during DSP reset:
We have not characterized these scenario and do not have actual numbers to quantify current consumption during reset. Can you take measurements at your end and use "Idd Leakage Current Versus Temperature" graph in the data sheet to the compute leakage at that condition and add it to the measured value to get actual numbers?
