Hello!

One of my customer using TI TMS320 series microprocessors in all  of their systems.

Until now we used now obsolete XDS100v2 JTAG Debug Probe (14-pin TI version).

We would like to continue research and production with TI debug/production tools.Recently we purchased TI XDS110 DEBUG PROBE from Digikey.

We tried to program/debug TMS320F28379DZWTT based board with both XDS100v2 and XDS110.

While we succeeded multiple (more than 100) times to complete these tasks with elder XDS100v2, we faced multiple problems with newer XDS110.

The  XDS110 probe connects successfully to the target (via controlSuite ) and after short debugging session the step-by-step debugging freezes.

After the session was interrupted ,the probe fails to reconnect to the target again – see attached printscreen image.

 

Should we update the firmware of the probe?

Is there any other possible solutions?
