CCS/TMS320F28335: How to use TMS320f28335 for beginner.

Part Number: TMS320F28335
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CONTROLSUITE

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Dear Sir;

I am very new at TMS320f28335.

When I search how ı can start, there are  lots of documents and video. All documents and video  different from each other and ı am confused.

I have controlSuite and  CCS v8.0. and TMS320f28335 cpu.

I will use TMS320f28335 for three phase dq frame, SVPWM inverter desing.

I want to learn following steps.

1. Adc(analog digital converter) configuration and use of adc. because ı will read output voltage and currunt of inverter.

2. Matematical operation. because ı will transform abc to dq frame  for example 2/3*cos(fi)+sin(fi)......

3. Software signal generator  configuration and how to use. Because I will use 1kHz triangular signal in software.

4. ePWM configuration and use of ePWM for SVPWM. I learned this step, I read sprug04a.pdf this document is good

Thanks

  • for generic device support (ADC, PWM)
    from www.ti.com/c2000training
    select Delfino

View the Delfino F2833x One-Day Workshop

for your application specific items you may want to see some of the motor control examples in controlSUITE

  • This document writen at 2009. And This is not good explain.
  • BSafak,

I suggest reviewing the F28335 multi-day workshop materials (rather than the one-day workshop), which can be found at:

    processors.wiki.ti.com/.../C2000_Archived_Workshops

The one-day workshop used the eZdsp F28335 Starter Kit and CCSv3. Please note that CCSv3 and earlier versions were obsoleted by CCSv4 and greater. CCSv4 and newer versions are based on the Eclipse open source software framework. Also, the multi-day workshop uses a newer development platform (F28335 Experimenter Kit) and CCSv4 which will provide a better and more relevant learning experience. Even though this workshop was developed in November 2010, you should be able to easily adapt it the newer version of CCS (i.e. CCSv7 and CCSv8).

Specifically in the F28335 multi-day workshop please see module 6 to learn more about the ADC and module 7 to learn more about the ePWM module. Additionally, module 8 introduces numerical concepts and IQ math topics. In case you are interested in learning more about the newer ePWM modules which can be found on our more recent devices, please see the following video:

  • Dear Sir,
    Thanks for your help.

I need resource about step 3 (Software signal generator configuration and how to use. Because I will use 1kHz triangular signal in software.)

And I need resource about SVPWM at F28335.
How can ı do SVPWM at F28335

    Thanks you.
  • as noted above, SVPWM is used in the following for F2833x
