TMS320F28377S: How to figure out available RAM for data storage, how much needed for FFT computations.

Calculating RAM requirements for FFT can be quite complex as it requires intermediate variables. However, the major size of memory is defined by the input-output buffers. These, in turn, are governed by the number of FFT points. So, if you are doing 512 point FFT, you need 4*512 size input buffer and same size output buffer.

An in-place FFT reduces memory requirements significantly, but this feature is not available in the current version of the library.

Also, if you are putting your tables in RAM, then again, it will take up some space. Hence, it is adviced that you use ROMTABLES configuration.
