TMS320F28069: F28069

Part Number: TMS320F28069

Hello all,

We are currently working with the F28069 controlStick and would like to supply the controlStick with an external power source. We have a buck converter which converts our voltage from 15V to 5V. On the PIN-OUT TABLE of the F28069 there is the GPIO16 with 5.0V but it´s disabled by default. Does anybody know how to active this pin or is this pin permanently switched off?

Thanks in advance.

  • Dominik,

Please confirm that you are using the controlSTICK and not the ControlCARD.

If you are using the ControlSTICK you can supply 5 V to pin 16 of J1 (this is not GPIO16 of the F28069 MCU marked as U2 on the schematic). You will need to place a 0-ohm resistor at R15 to connect it to the 5V0 net of the controlSTICK. Once you connect R15, and supply 5 V to J1, do not connect the 5 V from the USB.

  • Yes we are using the controlSTICK. We soldered a 0-Ohm resistor to R15 and now it is working. Thanks.
