CCS/TMS320F2812: How Can I use UIA or Probe Point System Analyzer on a Simulator without a target?

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

I have TMS320F2812 code  running on core simulator and have no physical target yet.   I want to use UAI system analyzer or Probe Point to test my logic and algorithm. Are either of these solution even possible using just the simulator alone?
