Hi, i have a TMDSPLCKITV4-CEN kit with a SOMPLC-F28PLC83. Where can i find the development kit? and, can i program the SOM's ADC to recieve a data and send it through the AC line?

    Mateo,

    TI is no longer selling these kits on TI.com or making the FW SDKs downloadable from TI.com directly.

    With that said, access to the SDKs can still be requested here:

    http://www.ti.com/tool/ti-plc-g3-cenelec-sn

    The use of the above kits/FW are now being treated "AS IS" meaning there is no plan to update or re-stock and the support from TI will be very limited from a technical perspective.

    The FW should already be preloaded on the SOMs you have, but the above package will also have the Zero Config Gui that will allow you to send/receive data.

    Thanks for the information.

    Looking the user´s guide of the som, i can see in the 34 pins connector an ADC and several GPIO´s. May i use the ADC to recieve data and transmit it automaticcally? i also want to use a couple gpio pins to turn on and of small charges.

    If you are leveraging the G3-CEN FW package, all of the MCU functions are locked/devoted to the PLC comms. There is not a provision to make source code level changes to add additional features. The ADC channels are optimized to be used with the AFE031 to sample the power line data and run filtering algos to turn that into data transmission info.

    If, however, you are writing FW from scratch, then there is no limitaion on how you use the HW on the SOM.

    i understand, thank you.

    i have another quiestion.

    Instead of program the ADC i have decided to use a data concentrator and the TMDSPLCKITV4-CEN modules as end points to read the data of smart meters, basically to creat an AMI. Where can i find the data concentrator´s software and information about smart meters and it´s connection with the PLC modules?
