I am trying to connect an external function generator to the DesignDRIVE board, i found in the hardware reference manual that there is a few analog signal mapping spare. ( directly connect to ADC pins), i am trying to connect my function generator positive to these pins and negative (ground) to control ground, is this gonna to be work? And the problem is i cant find the PCB schematic for the new version R2.2.1, the TI provide PCB schematic for the R2.2 on the software, however, there is no PCB schematic for the new version controlCARD. I need it to identify the pin and soldering point.

Also, it is named hardware development package in the TI folder. However, it is in the R2.2 version. Which is not the same analog mapping.

These two revisions are the same except for the default GND plane configuration. In he R2.2.1 version, the high voltage GND and control GND planes are disconnected. You can see it in the manual. Recommend to review the guide fully before trying to connect external signal. Conceptually, when you connect an analog signal to the MCU and also its GND to the MCU AGND, it should be able to read in by ADC.

The struggling point is there is no soldering point on the MCU, it seems to be very difficult to soldering the board.

From the schematic, you can make out the passives that have the GND node and use it. Remember, this signal is brought out on the header.

Just asking , i pop up with the idea that for example, the port SC-A-2 need to be connected ( a dual connector) to connect to the SC-A , serial communication macro, if i do not use the connector to connect it , just use the left header and connect to the function generator (external signal), and the pin is connect to the ADC, with the proper controlGROUND connection, do you think it is gonna to be work?

Probably. Btw, SC-A is not serial communication, but sine cos. There are many analog ground signals brought out on the connector. Look at pins 19 35, 47,... on the 180 pin connector.
