CCS/TMS320F28335: Not entering If else condition

Hello,

I have been trying to interface a chip and i have written a if statement to read a input GPIO pin and it won't toggle. I had put the same in watch window, there it is toggling.

I tried reading the status of the pin to a variable and checking the condition with that variable, it also didn't work.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
