CCS/TMS320F28335: Not entering if else condition

Hello,

I have been trying to interface a chip with TMS320F28335 and i have been reading status of a pin that has been configured as input. The pin keeps toggling and I had it monitored in Oscilloscope.

I am putting the same thing in a if condition and it doesn't work. I tried reading the status of the pin to a variable and checking the if condition with that variable, it also didn't help.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Below is the code and I have configured the GPIO pins for input and have also configured for pull up resistors.

temp1 = GpioDataRegs.GPADAT.bit.GPIO4;

temp2 = GpioDataRegs.GPADAT.bit.GPIO5;

if(temp2 == 0)
{

GpioDataRegs.GPASET.bit.GPIO0 = 1; //Select
GpioDataRegs.GPASET.bit.GPIO1 = 1; //Stobe
flagREADYD = 1;
}

So, you mean to say flagIOEN never sets to 1, right? Did you check in the expressions window : the value of GpioDataRegs.GPADAT.bit.GPIO4? What happens when you ground the GPIO?

Yes. In expression window, both of them GPIO pins i.e GPIO4 and GPIO5 keeps toggling but I don't know why , when I use it in a if condition, it doesn't enter into it. And yes, I grounded both pins, and then their states were low.

I hope its not also configured at ePWM output :) Check for GPAPUD=0 and not 1 in GPIO4/5 configuration. Check whether the GPIO toggles when you leave the pin open ie not connected to any input.

I checked that as well and i have it configured for GPAPUD = 0 and No, it doesn't toggle when it is not connected.
