Hi,

My customer is asking if customer can change the following parameters on TIDM-1007.

Could you please check?

- PWM Frequency

- Output(Boost) Voltage

- Dead time

- Over voltage detect point

- Over current detect point

- Over heat protection detect point

Yes, all these parameters can be changed. But you should change these parameters only for your new CCM TP PFC design.

This particular design from TI (TIDM-1007) has been optimized for specific settings of these parameters and you should not change these. If you do then the hardware may not work or may fail.

There is no temprature sensor on the board, hence you cannot change the over heat protection as that feature is not there on the board itself.

rest of the parameters are changeable from powerSUITE GUI. Note, if you change the PWM frequency i.e. the control frequency the compensator needs to be changed,

please make sure you verify that in compensation designer before you test.

Customer would like to know how to change the parameters listed above.
In TIDM-1007 user's guide, there is a procedure for software.
Is customer change the parameters in powerSUITE to follow a procedure for software in Use's Guide?

1. Yes they need to follow the procedure in UG , it should follow similarly even when the parameters are changed.
2. Refer to the license agreement they get when they install the software, license is installed at C:\ti\c2000\C2000Ware_DigitalPower_SDK_1_00_01_00\solutions\tidm_1007\ SRAS...pdf
Also they would have stepped through the license when they installed the SDK.

In general the code we provide is not "production ready" ready code , i.e. we do not do all tests needed for the SW / system to be an end product. Customer can use that as a starting point and make it "production" code as long as they continue to use C2000 MCUs for the project.

For the changes in parameters that are in the GUI, i am not sure how i can outline a procedure as it is simply entring numbers in GUI
