Hello,

I'm trying to debug run the C2000Ware CLA sample project "acos".
Could you please advise how to debug-run the CLA code many times?

It seemed to fail handshaking between the C28 CPU and CLA.

Test result:

(CCS740, C2000Ware_1_00_04_00, TMDX28069USB).

Import [C:\ti\c2000\C2000Ware_1_00_04_00\device_support\f2806x\examples\cla\acos].
Build, push the bug button.
Connect CLA, Load the CLA code symbols.
Run the CPU >> CLA paused at __mdebugstop().

Hit F6 many times. Finally the expression y[] is filled by zeros. -- NG. From the response I'm afraid of a handshake issue.

As long as I try, This occurs when the program counter points the MSTOP instruction. If I re-initialize the debug procedure and press F8=run before the MSTOP line, the PC restarted from the __mdebugstop().

Can I ask you to try my new procedure for duplication?

- Import [C:\ti\c2000\C2000Ware_1_00_04_00\device_support\f2806x\examples\cla\acos].

- Build, push the bug button.

- Connect CLA, Load the CLA code symbols.

- Run the CPU >> CLA pauses at __mdebugstop().

* Put a breakpoint in the loop of test_run().

- Hit F6 many times until the C28 CPU breaks.

>> After the break, Cla1ForceTask1andWait() doesn't wait for CLA complete.

Hi Hideaki,

Can you explain what you are trying to accomplish with F6 in CCS?

If you do not connect the CLA, then the CLA will not hit the breakpoint, and the example should yield proper results. Have you tried not connecting? Is the example working properly then?

I would like to repeat step executions the ClaTask1() in the asoc.cla.
Do you mean you could not duplicate the phenomenon ?

I have no concerns when the CLA is not connected.

Hideaki,

This is likely just an issue with the behavior when you have the emulator connected.

Once you are halted at the MSTOP, the MIRUN but should be cleared. While the CLA is halted and still has the MSTOP in the Decode phase of the pipeline, the CLA will not begin to execute the next task which is forced.

Therefore, although the C28x is forcing and waiting for the MIRUN bit to be cleared, the next task is not being triggered (because it is halted on MSTOP) and also the MIRUN bit remains cleared, so the C28x is able to complete its execution because it is not waiting for the MIRRUN which is already cleared. This way the program can continue and the C28x will finish without all of the CLA tasks and tests being executed.
