TMS320F28377D: Pin Mux utility Input X-bar

Good morning, using the cloud version of Pin Mux Tool for TMS320F28379D-PTP I try to configure GPIO24 as SPISIMOB and at the same time connect it to Inut X-bar for EnDat implementation.

The PinMuxtool issues a pin conflict since this pin is already assigned to SPISIMOB.

In the literature it seems it should be possible to connect Input xbar to any GPIO regarless of the function assigned in the pin mux, what is the problem ?

Hi,

Your understanding is correct. This is a valid usage of GPIO24 as SPISIMOB and Input X-Bar.
We'll check and get back to you if there is any limitation in the Pinmux tool in allowing this configuration.

Correct. The pinmux tool does not support this however this would be a valid configuration.

Ok, are You planning to correct the bug on the cloud application ? it is however possible to memorize pin number without checking the checkbox, just to keep track of pin number.

Hi,

As of now, the configuration for Input Xbar has to be done outside Pinmux, in this case.
Pinmux utility may be enhanced in future to support Input Xbar + gpio mux capability.
