CCS/DRV8302-HC-C2-KIT: Code Composer

Part Number: DRV8302-HC-C2-KIT
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CONTROLSUITE

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hello community

we are students at munich university and developing a motorcontroller connected to a BMS.
We are using the DRV 8302 HC Kit and our programm is fine running.

For a sucessful project it´s necessary that the Kit stores the programm permanently.
Actual it losses his code in case of disconnetion to the supply.

Is there any potential solution?

-DRV-8302-HC Kit
-Code Composer Studio
-Matlab/Simulink
-BMS

  • What controlCARD are you using? You may onfigure the project to run from FLASH, and set the boot mode to "BOOT from FLASH". More details, please refer to the datasheet and technical reference manual of the device. The example project in the folder below could be also a reference for you, and you could find some example projects in "device_support" folder of controlSUITE which can be download from TI website.

  • We´re using CC2803X from TI and Code Composer 5.5.0 but I can´t find any "Boot from Flash" options.

  • You might refer to the section 6.1.9 in F28035 datasheet that has a section about the boot mode, and the schematic of CC2803X controlCard which has a switch (SW2) to set the boot mode. More detailed description, please refer to the technical mamual of F28035 that could be download from TI website.
