CCS/TMS320F28069M: I have issue with running sci_echoback functon

Part Number: TMS320F28069M
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LAUNCHXL-F28069M

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Dear all,

I am using sci_echoback  example but i am not able to get any result on hyperterminal. I am using a texas piccolo launchpad. In the example it is mentioned that we have to connect rx and tx pin to DB9 cable. Is it neccessary to connect to DB9 cable. My launchpad has a usb connected to JTAG. Will it not work???? Please help.

Regards,

nayan.

  • Hi Nayan,

First of all, the USB connection itself emulates a COM port. Check the COM port number in Device Manager. You can configure the same COM port on Hyper-terminal to run the sci_echoback example code.

  • Nayan,

Please see the LAUNCHXL-F28069M Overview User's Guide SPRUI11:

    www.ti.com/lit/SPRUI11

On the LAUNCHXL-F28069M please check the settings of jumpers JP6 and JP7. See section 5.2 "Serial Connectivity" table 1 on page 7.

I hope this helps. If this answers your question, please click the green "Verified Answer" button. Thanks.
