TMS320F28379D: XDS100V2/XDS110 Emulator for programming microcontroller and sending UART Data to PC?

Hello,

I have peen using the #LAUNCHXL-F28379D launch pad for some time now and I would like to build my own custom board. My question is regarding the Jtag programmer.

First, I notice that the recomended JTAG programmer is XDS100V2 but it seems there is a latest version XDS110 in the market now, which one is recomended currently?

Secondly I want to use the  JTAG programmer to communicate and send data to PC using either UART or USB and supply power to my circuit? Are this features supported in any of the current available JTAG programmers? Can you reccomend me one?

Third, Do you reccomend having a built in programmer available on the custom board? (I tried to check the design files for the XDS100V2 here(processors.wiki.ti.com/.../XDS100) but it is out of date. Is it posiible to get an up to date design files?

Last, Is it possible to use the jtag programmer on the LAUNCHXL-F28379D to program other external microcontroller?

    XDS110 is the latest and faster one. Anytime go for XDS110.

    You'll have to implement this, external JTAG debuggers will only communicate on JTAG with CCS.

    Nope, only JTAG pins. Always use an external debugger.

    Yes, you'll have to remove the controlCard for that - use only the docking station.
