CCS/TMS320F28031: The CAN communication of TMS320F2803x

Hi,

We used TMS320F28031 in our production, now we load the program in the flash, then debug the CAN communication, we transmitter data to MCU and receive the data showed in the display,

the data are normal(picture 1). Now we heat the MCU above 65-70℃,the receive data are error(picture 2), the PWM or ADC are right, but the receive data are normal if the temperature get down to 65℃,

What is your clock source? Are you using INTOSC1? If so, do you employ temperature compensation as explained in www.ti.com/.../sprabi7a.pdf ?

Thanks for your comment.
We used the external clock, the file introduce the temperature compensation maybe unavailable for this problem.
BTW, why do the MCU work normally except the CAN communication if the temperature rised up to 65-70℃?

If you are using an external clock, then temperature compensation does not apply in your situation. Please try these 2 experiments:

Capture the waveform at CANTX pin at room-temperature and >70’C
Lower the bitrate to 50 kbps

Sorry for later reply, the failure temperature rised upto 100℃ if we change the bitrate to 50 Kbps,
this solution is unavailable because our bitrate is 500Kbps, is there any other solution if we keep the bitrate on 500Kbps,thanks?

It appears your bit-timing is getting messed up at higher temperatures, which is unusual because you say you are using an external clock source. Can you please double-check your code to ensure you are correctly switching to the external clock source? I absolutely need to see the waveform at CANTX pin at room temperature and at >70'C.
