TMDXIDDK379D: Proprietery certificate for TMDXIDDK379D

Part Number: TMDXIDDK379D

I wanted to know about the proprietary certificate related to the item in title. This is needed as a part of purchase process.

The dealers are not issuing it, and so I request someone from TI to help me out. Thanks alot!

    My apologies but I an not aware of this need for a proprietary certificate. This is new to me. Is it required in order to import into your home country?

    I will check with my colleagues in the e-store as they will have more background than I. I cannot guarantee the cycle time for their response, however. Please be patient with us.

    One more question, professor... are you referring to the software as being proprietary? Is this a concern about licensing or any open source nature to our code?

    Dear Brian

    It (proprietary certificate) just says that the product is only made by TI and such specific product   is not made by anyone else. This helps in purchase process as it avoids the need of an open tender. It s not about licensing.

    Professor,

    I have learned that TI does not offer this certificate for our hardware.  While I can assure you that a) TI did the design and b) that I am unaware of any third party that may have decided to also produce this board.  However, we offer all of the files to design and build this board and cannot track of decisions by other companies who would choose to get into the business of producing or selling this board for themselves.  Therefore, we cannot assure that TI is the only supplier of the hardware.  

    Again, to my knowledge we are the only provider of this hardware so I cannot offer you or your procurement team advice on a possible second source.

    Thanks for your interest in our industrial drives motor control development kits.  I hope that you have a great experience with them.  And, please use this forum for any questions you may have as your developments progress.
