Hi Friends,

I have a F28069 ISO CONTROLCARD RELEASE 0.2 CARD & DOCKING- STN USB-EMU [R3] dock station.

When I connected both and selected 100V2 as Usb connector to load code,It is showing error connecting to the target.

Can anyone please help me how to use both or ControlCard version not campitable with this 100Dim dockstation.

I also followed the infosheet & schematic of both dockstation & controlcard.Actually both are having FTDI chip so how to use Its

conflicting to me.

  • Hi Ashrumochan,

Just to verify, you are able to connect to and program your ISO board without the docking station? I.E. having both the isolated JTAG mini-usb and host device power micro-usb cables connected to the control card and successfully connect/debug in CCS. Make sure your switches on the CC match those in the info sheet picture when testing this.

If this works, what ports on the dock and CC do you have connected when using them together? Are you using the barrel plug connector or USB-B on the docking station?

You are wanting to power the board from the dock and use the isolated JTAG on the CC correct? If so this should be possible assuming you have the correct switches set on the CC and are setting up your targetConfig in CCS correct (xds100v2). I could not find a way to disable the JTAG interface on the dock if using the USB-B, but it should still work with both emulators connected. I tested and verified this.

  • Hi Kevin,

Actually I am using the USB Emulation dock station Release [R3]. With it the USB cable and For control card is Rev 0.2 for which this R3 Dockstation is may be not matching to the correct pins. Still i am unable to load the code as indicating Unable to connect to target,Reset the debug probe like that.

I didn't get what is CC and USB-B.Please if you have any docs, send me for reference.

  • Hi Ashrumochan,

CC is ControlCard, sorry should have explained that. USB-B (printer cable) is the type of USB port on the docking station.

Despite you using the Rev 0.2 ControlCard, the CC2806x_InfoSheet_Rev0.4_20Jan2014 within c2000ware should still be helpful to you. Located at the following directory:

    C:\ti\c2000\C2000Ware_1_00_05_00\boards\controlCARDs\TMDSCNCD28069ISO\R0_4

There are also schematics available on C2000ware for the Controlcard. Please note the below mention in this doc:

This controlCARD is designed to be debugged via the on-card emulator. JTAG ports on the docking station or any
other baseboard will not be able to connect to the MCU.

That being said, only the on-card emulator will be able to connect to CCS and be used for debug. The GPIOs from the ControlCard match to those labeled on the Dock I believe.

    Best,

    Kevin
