TMS320F280049: Issue: SCI/LIN as SCI mode controlling through DMA

Unable to control transmit and receive functions of LIN in SCI mode through DMA. Require an example code. Latest C2000ware doesn't have any example on it. In the datasheet sprui33a.pdf, it is mentioned that SET RX DMA and SET TX DMA bits to control TX and RX functions through DMA. But I didn't find these bits in any registers. Plz help on this.

Hi - We are still evaluating LIN in SCI mode using DMA and working to get an example added in C2000Ware. For now please do not use DMA interface, also we will update the TRM with more description as we finish our evaluation.

Sorry, there are no new updates at this point, we are still working on it. Like I mentioned do not use DMA interface for LIN in SCI mode until we finish evaluation. Also this might take a while. Can you use CPU interface to use LIN in SCI mode instead of DMA?

Hi,
In our application we are running the communication at higher baud rate i.e 1Mbps. As cpu handles multiple tasks, there is a need of DMA. Even CLA is also occupied with other tasks. I hope, you understand my requirement.

Hi,

Yes, I completely understand your requirement, but we are still evaluating and running some tests at our end to give you any guidelines on usage of LIN in SCI mode with DMA interface. Most likely we will have some updates for you by end of next week.

Hi,

Based on the issues that you brought up, we have started efforts to develop example for LIN in SCI mode using DMA interface. Based on current plan it will be released by end of this year (Q4, 2018) through C2000Ware. We will also update the TRM accordingly then.

Unfortunately we do not have any updates for you now.
