CCS/TMS320F28379D: Embedded coder support for TMS320F28379D in Matlab

Hi,

Could you please tell me from which version on wards of Matlab + CCS does the TMS320F28379D get autocode support.
I have 2016b Matlab and CCS 5, but was unable to locate TMS320F28379D in the device list (in configurations).

Hello Devinda,

F2837xD support started in MathWorks Release R2015b. That initial support didn't have a drop down selection for F28379D devices. We added the drop down selection for F28379D devices in Release R2016a.

So your MathWorks version (R2016b) should be fine. However, I don't believe CCSv5 supports F28379D - I think you may need CCSv6 at a minimum.

Brian is correct; native support for the F28379D devices came with CCSv6.

To make CCSv5.5 work with this device, there is a sequence of instructions required.

All that said, is there a strong reason why you are still using CCSv5? CCSv6, 7 and 8 can also be used without cost.

Thank you for your reply. I switched to CCSv6, and now I can see the device in the drop down menu.
