LAUNCHXL-F28379D: Simulink eQEP block

Hello,

I have a TI F28375d board and I would like to use the eQEP module. I connected the eQEBa pins to my encoder and I want to have the absolute position from it.

The position counting is done perfectly, but I have problem with the index initialization. From my encoder I get a signal once every rotation that I want to use to set the 0 position.

I attach a few print screen about my settings.

What should I do differently?

Hi Peter,

Do you want to reset the position counter to 0 on every index event?

Your configuration looks correct. What are you observing, can you provide scope pictures?

Hello Nirav,

Here are some picture about my A, B, and Z track.

On the first picture, you can see the Z track (Index pin), the second the A and B pin inputs, and on the third one all three together.

Hi Peter,

As we root caused that F28379D Launchpad XL has GPIO99 for encoder index signal coming to QEP-A connector. J14

But in Simulink we had GPIO23 configured for Index signal. When we matched the Simulink setting to GPIO99 inline with board setting we got Index pulse working.
