CCS/TMDSHVMTRINSPIN: Cannot connect to target after pressing "debug": blinking LD1 SMDs

Part Number: TMDSHVMTRINSPIN
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MOTORWARE

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

I am using the TMDSHVMTRINSPIN‎ development kit and TMDSCNCD28069MISO control card and am trying to upload my CCS code onto this device. However, when I input the 15VDC Adapter to power the part of the board with the control card, a few SMD blink. Three SMD with labels LD1 blink. If you look at the hardware quick start guide for this development kit, you will see the 2 of the 3 SMD labeled LD1.

A third SMD labled LD1 that is on the control card blinks as well whenever I flip the switch on the development board and thereby connect the 15V supply. This didn't happen when my code was uploading. Now when I turn the switch to provide 15VDC those SMD blink and my code doesn't upload.

Does anyone know what this all means? What is the problem and is it able to be fixed? Is this a common issue? I need to either get this one working or order a new one fast. I have attached a video of the blinking SMD:

  • You could find below two guides if you installed motorware by default, please follow the guide to enure the switchs on both controlCard and HV-Kit are right and try again. Especially, the J5 in M3 on HV-Kit is shorted, to disable the onboard emulator of HV-Kit.
