C2000-GANG: c2000-GANG ERROR66: CSM unlock error for TMS320F28054M

Hi Qiang,

Is the first time you are programming that device? Or did you already program some application in to it along with password? When using UNIFLASH, did you provide the password in the GUI to be able to program the device successfully?

Can you confirm that the boot mode pins are configured for wait mode when you program?

1. I tried both programmed one and new chip(never programmed before), both stopped at ERROR 66: CSM unlocked error.

2. I can program TMS320F28055 multiple times without any issues using c2000 gang.

3. I also try to just Verify the programmed one (by UniFlash) using c2000 gang, and the same error shows up. ERROR 66

4. For UNIFLASH, I didn't change any settings, the default password for Z1 and Z2 are both 0XFFFFFFF.

5. For C2000 GANG, I tried all the Security Password setting, none of them works.

6. How can I confirm the boot mode pins are configured for wait mode?

Got it. Thanks for the snaps - that helps to understand.

For the password question that I asked: I think you meant to say you did not program any password. (UniFlash worked without giving a password).

Regarding wait boot configuration, check Table 2-4. Boot Mode Selection in www.ti.com/.../spruhe5d.pdf .

I don't think this problem is caused by wait mode, my 28055 is connected the same way as 28054M, and 28055 is working just fine.

Both are different  parts. F28054M is Instaspin part and has Zone1 locked for TI hence can not be unlocked but programming should still go through because flash sectors are not secure. Look like GANG programmed is throwing error seeing Z1 is locked.

I think you might be right. But how to fix this problem?
If that's the case, then C2000 Gang can only be used for none F or M chips?

Can we program TMS320F28054M using Boundary Scan Vector files? any ideas on how to convert .out/hex files into boundary scan vector files?

Quing, I am not aware of this tool. I'll let Vamsi confirm on that.
