Hi,

I tried all suggestions using VS Community and then Express version 2017. - win10k

Then upgraded from controlsuite to c2000 - and tried to open tiusbdll.vcxproj from folder....

VS2017 does not want to read it "cannot open" - so there is no chance to upgrade that project and compile it.

All suggestions in this thread are pure magic.

The example project was done with another version - pls specify - 2015, 2007 - what version ?

Or supply examples built with actual versions...

This hide- and seek is no professional style - and this thread is "not closed" from my perspective,

Hi,

Please see the code and projects provide in C2000Ware.

I am able to open and build the projects with VS 2013 Professional. You need to "Upgrade VC++ Compiler and Libraries" to build it.

Hi Sal,

Thx for the fast response - will try with VS 2013.

As far as I understand the situation (did usb driver stuff in the past) - best practice would be to develop and test that on a win7 32Bit machine (or virtual) - as this is the last OS version which supports loading unsigned drivers ?

Or is there a way (or a signed driver for the example and win7/64... 10k?)

There are signed drivers in the latest C2000Ware release. Please use those.

Hi Sal,

Did not want to poisen my machine with too much Visual Studio Versions - but found an existing 2015 VS Community Install Version.

Works as expected with 2015 VS Community.

2017 versions seems to have a problem with the tiusbdll project file and exit in a very non-verbose way.

Additional:

Tried on another w10k machine with VS 2015 Express - that does not work (maybe because of support for mfc (c++ MS foundation classes) missing.

VS2015 community with mfc,c++ classes checkmark on installation dialog works.

To be precise - the VS projects in c2000Ware are written with Microsoft toolset "V110".
This is the default toolset of VS 2012. Opening this project with a newer Version needs "retargeting" - the project is upgraded to use the actual toolset of the Studio version.
