Tool/software: TI C/C++ Compiler

Hello, i am trying to learn micro controller and i am using ccs.(i am very very beginner level in embedded system) I connect my device to computer with 2 cables. I want to control my device's led with ccs code. However, i cannot find any example or understandable code for me. Some people use proteus but i dont want to use any simulation program. Can anyone give me some links about this topic or some code examples.
