Compiler/TMS320F28374S: Is the PREAD / PWRITE instrucion as atomic instructon for F28374s?

Hi Team,

From test, we found that the interrupt is disabled while PREAD operation happened, Is the PREAD / PWRITE instrucion as atomic instructon for F28374s? and what's the biggest number limitation for the number of words been read with the PREAD instruction? while the number of words exceed 300,the assemble language would not using PREAD instruction during the test.

The PREAD/PWRITE instruction itself only operates on one word. It is often combined with a RPT instruction to access a block of words. A RPT cannot be interrupted. The RPT instruction is described in the reference guide Ozino provided a link for.

If you want to keep the compiler from generating a RPT, or if you want to limit the number of times an instruction is repeated using RPT, then refer to the following compiler options in the C28x compiler reference guide (www.ti.com/lit/spru514)

--no_rpt

--rpt_threshold=k
