LAUNCHXL-F28377S: C2000 Aplication with ADS system

Hi.

I try to make a Power Quality monitor with a DELFINO LAUNCHPAD F283777s or HERCULES LAUNCHPAD RML57Lx. PQ monitor should make a parallel sampling of 3 phase voltage with a rate to 1024 samples per cycle (0.061MSPS). I want to buy a ADS system to do sampling and then send digital data using a data interface like SPI,SCI, I2C. Is possible do the connection between DELFINO or RML57Lx  and ADS system ?. If it's possible, have you any recommendation about ADS system, features, interface and others ?

    First, my application is a PQ monitor which i want to work with DELFINO or HERCULES board. i give clearity when i wrote ADS system, i reffer to an ADC evaluation module (ADCEVM) that be able to do voltage sampling in an industrial application like ADS8556EVM ()(ADS8556EVM is compatible with C5000 and C6000 Boards).

    I try with this solution because:

    In the past, i used ADC module from DELFINO F28377s to sampling a 3 phase voltage in industrial circuit with a simple conditioning circuit. The circuit was composed to voltage divisor, isolation by transformer with relation 1:1 and operationals amplifiers in an configuration SPAN-ZERO. Unfortunally, sampling accuracy was poor and my best sampling result was the next.

    Now, Instead use ADC moudule from board i want to try use a DELFINO F283777s or HERCULES RM57L like a HOST PC, sample with ADC Evaluation module and transfer data voltage from ADC EVM to DELFINO or HERCULES though an interface method like SPI, I2C or other. it's possible ?

    Regarding the ADC features, i interest in a ADC that can be able to sample voltage with a sample resolution between (12-16 bits), a sampling rate of 0.061MSPS, 4 channel inputs, compatible nterface with F283777s or RM57Lx and a moderate power comsuption.

    If you are looking for an external ADC, the best place to post would be in the Data Converters e2e forum. Anything with SPI would probably be the easiest solution to interface to, assuming it has sufficient throughput via the SPI.

    In the below thread you said you were able to solve your sampling issues. Was this not the case? If so, what issues remain?

    In general, using the internal ADC will be much easier. If you have issues with timing the samples, designing the signal conditioning circuits, or appropriately graphing the results these will not be solved by switching to an external ADC.
