TMS320F28034: INTOSC2OFF bit status after MCLK reset

Hello,
customer mentioned that after a MCLK reset the INTOSCOFF bit is not reseted (but it should be in the user's manual). Will the CLKCTL register be reseted after a MCLK internal reset?

Hi Holger,

From the couple tests I've run, it does appear to be resetting CLKCTL although it doesn't match the reset values given in the documentation. I'll look into whether this is an issue in the documentation or something else.

Can you get more details about what behavior the customer is seeing? What is the value of CLKCTL after reset?

After normal reset the CLKCTL Register is filled with 0x0000.docx

I believe the confusion is that the MCLKRS does not have the same domain as the reset generated by XRSn. The "reset" condition listed for all the peripheral bits is for an XRSn event. This is the same reset signal that is used for a Reset in CSS(CPU Reset) which correlates to what the customer is seeing.

This is covered incrementally in the datasheet(section 6.6.4) and in the respective clocking chapters in the TRM(Table 21). In the CLKCTL register definition there is a note for both the INTOSCxOFF bits that these are un-effected by MCLK detect circuit.
