Hi everyone,

I need to use CanOpen communication protocol. For that, I need a stack code for CanOpen. I would like to know about providing it as open-source, if anyone has developed an implementation with it.

Hi,

Perhaps something has changed and there are better choices,

CanFestival is an OpenSource (LGPL and GPL) CANopen framework.
https://canfestival.org/

I don't know if they have CAN and timer drivers for TMS320, but shouldn't be hard to define your own. I used CanFestival with non-TI MCU. You still may need to pay for decent CanOpen testing/validation tools and of course for CANopen Vendor-ID.

I'm concerned a bit about TMS320 16bit chars. It's not very common and I just hope Canfestival is compatible with 16bit char, at least one should be ready to review sources and debug a bit.
