CCS/TMS320F28054F: TI uses DCSM Zone1 on fresh chips f2805x(F,M)?

Dear sirs.

We develop a programming solution for tms320f2805x chips, and discover that DCSM Zone1 is locked by TI on fresh tms320f28054F chip.

We found some threads about it in e2e forum, but we can't find any oficial TI documentation about this.

The TI UniFlash tool gives to user a security settings for both Zone1 and Zone2, and it is strange.

Are all f2805x chips with (F,M) options has a dcsm zone1 locked by TI? Does any TI documentation exist about that issue?

Hi George,

You are right. TI locks the Zone1 on this part and it should be on both version (M and F). We also have device without M and F where Zone1 is not locked by TI hence tool has settings for both. Tools are generic.

To carify for other chips,
is ANY of f2805x chips with options (F,M) has a zone1 locked,
and chips without options (F,M) has both zones free to use?
