TMS320F28069: Over-The-RS485 update (ala Over-The-Air update or similar)?

Part Number: TMS320F28069
Hi.
We are using a TMS320F28069 (@20MHz) for our power supply HW-application. Its built on the TI kit "TMDSHVPSFBKIT". We have included/added a RS485-port for serial communication to the outside world. Because our product is a subsea application, there is a strong demand of re-programming (SW download) our DSP from a "topside PC" over the RS485-port (when SW-updates are required).

Does Texas support any "method" (SW/HW) to achieve this for our current HW-design?
Are there any "method" available similar to an "Over-The-Air-update"; but rather an "Over-The-RS485-update" for our TMS320F28069?
Best Regards
Terje Bøhler
  • Hi,

Please see the Serial Flash Programmer Application Report: www.ti.com/lit/sprabv4

We provide a serial flash programmer host application as well as SCI flash kernels which execute on the device.

Also, please search the E2E forum for related questions.
