tms320f2812 adc specs

Any chance the 2812 adc specifications are actually better than described in the latest datasheet? +/-80 LSB offset and +/-50 LSB of gain error limits the applications for these inputs.

Any chance for improvement? The calibration guidelines aren't very practical.

  • There are cases when a particular device may perform better than mentioned in datasheet but that depends on specific situation and is not guranteed by the vendor. You will have to test yourself to decide whether you can achieve better performance or not and even if you do please keep in mind you will be on your own ... vendors will only guarantee what mentioned in datasheet ..... good luck....

  • 1. Oversampling

    2. Slowing down the ADC clock can improve the accuracy

    3. Sample two known voltages (i.e. bandgap references) a few times and use the mean value to calculate parameters to compensate

offset and gain errors (like it is described in the adc calibration datasheet)

    Best regards
