TMS320F28035: TMDSHVMTRPFCKIT Over current protection

Hello,

We use TMDSHVMTRPFCKIT for a BLDC motor. We keep getting over current protection error on the GUI when we test the motor with load. At no load, we don't have any issues and motor's spinning right. Can you please let us know how to fix this issue?

How much current are you drawing under load? What percentage of max load are you commanding?

Thank you Sean for your response! not much! we cannot measure it because it stops right away. Our load is a disk. Output power less that 300W. Our motor is rated at 160V also.

Also, PFC is disabled. We are just using a DC power supply at 150VDC directly connected to the PFC output

Can I disable the over current protection in the hardware or software? If so, what is the easiest way of doing that? If not, I think we will have to start the motor at low duty cycle and start increasing it? like I mentioned before, at works at no load, but even at light load ( 60-80W) , it tries to start spinning but it stops because of over current protection

Which project are you using? It will be easier if you use the direct code examples instead of the GUI. Unfortunately, the GUI doesn't offer as much flexibility as the source code does
