I need to know what are the ways (firmware or hardware solutions) to avoid the processor hang.

Also, any way to reset the processor automatically if the processor hangs.

Hi Chaitanya,

Watchdog Reset is the best way for a software reset. As for hardware, you can toggle the XRS pin. You can go through the watchdog example in C2000ware.

A watchdog reset is indeed the easiest way to bring the processor out of a “hang”, but I would focus on what caused the processor to “hang” in the first place. In a properly designed system (from a H/W & S/W perspective), this shouldn’t happen.
