Hi,

I found below JTAG connection for 2 C2000 reports connection and program error.One of C2000 cannot connect and another can connect but not program with CCS. Attached file shows the error logs. Will above connection cause connection fail? And could you please let me know the exsample for daisy chain connection?

Is there a comment for the ccs log? what kind of warning is caused?

Nagata-san,
Is it possible to connect to each one seperately for debug, or do they have to be chained? I would like to debug the connection issues seperately if possible, then once we have connected in standalone we can work on daisy chaining the devices to one emulator.

The error log for the device that connected is indicating that the flash is password locked. This could be the reason that the other device won't connect; if it is also locked and you try to connect while it is executing from flash it will deny the connection.

I would also make sure that both devices are in wait boot mode, which will at least let us connect even if they are password locked.

We can debug mode once you have looked at the above and replied back.

Hi, Matt -san,

1. It could not connect to each device separately due to board layout. Is it possible to connect one separatly with modifing Target Configuration? If yes, could you please let me know how to modify it?

2. I have no idea to confirm if Flash is password lockd. Could you please let me know how to check it?

Nagata-san,

1)In terms of connections, I think in the target config you just need to right click on the target you want to connect and launch that connection. I'm still concerned there is some physical/board issue at play; but if the above works it would point to a problem area

2)For a locked device, take a look at page 143 here http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/spruhx5e/spruhx5e.pdf, if the PWL locations are 0xFFFF then the device is unlocked/un-secure. If you read a non 0xFFFF then the device is locked and JTAG access to secure regions will be blocked.
