Hi, in the datasheet SPRS945C section 6.6 page 192 line 1.

The CPU is a 32-bit fixed-point processor which draws from the best features of digital signal processing.

Isn't F28004x CPU floating point?

    Hi Howard,

    The C28x CPU is fixed-point.  Many C2000 devices (including F28004x) also contain an FPU which provides floating-point capability and is described in section 6.6.2 on the same page.  It's perhaps non-intuitive to think of the CPU as fixed-point with a floating-point extension, but that's what it is.  The datasheet is correct.
