TMS320F2812: Is a Secondary Flash Bootloader available?

I am looking for guidance on a bootloader. We are using the TMS320F2812PGFA. I have read about the SCI bootloader in the ROM, that writes data to RAM.

We need a full featured bootloader that can handle updating the application in flash, erasing flash regions as needed, maintaining info about the download, etc. Before we start writing one, I thought I would check to see if TI provides one we can use, or at least use as a base for ours. I tried searching the forum with no luck, and poked around some in controlSUITE but there's so much there I didn't know where to look.

We have something similar for one of our recent device. You can possibly adapt this for your customer bootloader requirements.

Hi Lloyd,

If you're instead looking for something closer to off-the-shelf, you can take a look at some of the flash programmer solutions listed under "Flash" on the following page:
http://www.ti.com/microcontrollers/c2000-real-time-control-mcus/tools-software.html

For example, C2Prog is pretty solid. The free application will be good enough for most situations, but there's ability to work with them if more is desired.
