As Manoj mentioned above, what calibration do you mean? ADC Offset, or Rs of the motor? Could you please provide more information about your question and check below items.
1. Motor parameters are correct, especially Rs.
2. Enable stator Rs recalibration.
3. Enable the force angle.

You might refer to chapter 14 of instaSPIN User's guide (SPRUHJ1G) to find more detail.

I'm talking about Rs recalibration before motor start-up. I am using a 4A maximum value. But after this check, sometimes, motor starts to spin in wrong way during 2-3s and changes its way for the right one...

The motor maybe have a backward or forward rotate ( should be less than 1/4 electric turn) since the Rs recalibration needs to set Id to a fixed value, the process likes a align operation. Please post a current waveform to show it if you have further questions about this startup.

Yes, during Rs recalibration, it has a small turn and this point is ok. But after, for nominal start-up, sometimes, motor starts to spin in the wrong way. If I ask for 1000 RPM, it begins to turn 1 or 2s in reverse (-500 for ex.) and recovers in the right way. We would avoid this...

Are you using TI EVM kit, or yourself designed board? It seems like the motor parameters are not correct, you have to check if the current/voltage sample is good enough on this board. You might post a current waveform to show the issue if you have a further question.

Hello everyone,

To be more descriptive on the issue, on a given board we have 2 behaviors completely different (exactly the same manipulations) :

1. Negative Iq command and values, motor starts to spin in the right way, no problem.
2. Stop, try again.
3. Negative Iq command and values (reach a much higher value, do no know if it is linked), motor starts to spin in the wrong way.

What do you think about this unwished behavior ?

1. You might have a look at the current/voltage signal feedback circuit that's very sensitive to instaSPIN-FOC, did you meet the same issue if you used a TI-kit for such motor?
2. What lab project are you using a reference?

1) We can not test it unfortunately...
2) We took all the necessary things in the project for MOTION devices, we need reverse, high accel, calibrations... so many features.

Don't you have a clean way to reset the integrator term as you mentioned when we stop the rotation ?
