TMS320F28069: tms320f28069 CPU clock is getting changed when PFC is activating

Hi ,

We are working on power factor correction using TMS320f28069. We have custom hardware and control card. We are facing following problems.

1. When are turning on AC mains power to Power board of PFC then JTAG is disconnecting.

2. The main problem when controller is trying to do PFC that is following the current the voltage the clock frequency of CPU is getting changed from 80MHz to 4Mhz and then it is tripping.

what are the cause of this type of problems ?? and any possible solution.?

It looks like you have a hardware issue,

Can you run the code on control card without any problem?

You will need to look at power rails and make sure the power chain is correctly rated for the load your board is applying.

For the power consumption required from a F28069 side refer to the datasheet.

Hi ,

We are able to run code on launchpad without any problem. Our buck converter is working fine. We are facing this problem when soft start phase is over and current controller is taking some action. There is huge harmonics generated by controller.

Yellow one is Line voltage and green is line current.

After this micro-controller frequency is changing.

Indrajit,

I'll be honest the design requires some debug.

You can start with checking closed loop stablity, if you have a model, make sure it is stable in closed loop simulation. etc.
