TMS320F28034: TMS320F28034

Part Number: TMS320F28034

Hi,

I have some confusion about the SCI maximum baud rate of F28034.

As the below table shown, is that means the maximum SCI baud rate = 60MHz/16 = 3.75MHz?

If set the maximum baud as 3.75MHz, will the performance be influenced to not work well? How to avoid this problem?

Thanks for your help!

  • Rayna,

The F2803x SCI can be programmed to use up to 64K different baud rates. For the maximum rate, the LSPCLK needs to be set to divide-by-1, and you are correct with your calculation of 3.75 MHz. When communicating at high data rates, extra care must be taken care of in the design to avoid noise which can generate errors.

I hope this helps. If this answers your question, please click the green "Verified Answer" button. Thanks.
