Hello !

I'm using Delfino F28377d Experimenter's kit. I see it is possible to insert a SD-RAM in it. How could I store my data (samples) to it? is it the same as FDLOG which is used for storing data on the memory? and is this external memory and it's appropriate storing method fast enough to store 1 sample per 20us ?

Sana,

You can refer to this EMIF Appnote for more information about interfacing with an SDRAM. It also includes throughput data in the appendix.

The datasheet and TRM contain device-specific information about the EMIF implementation.

Let us know if you have any questions that are not answered by the documentation.

Sorry for my low-level question!
" EMIF Appnote" is about SDRAM, I've noticed there is difference between SDRAM and SD Card. I see that my Delfino F28377d Experimenter's kit has a SD Card interface. How could I use for storing the data?

Please see the sd_card example in \C2000Ware_XXXX\device_support\f2837xd\examples\cpu1\

Also note that your original usage of "SD-RAM" is what led us to believe that you were referring to SDRAM.

You are right. sorry for my mistake.
Which way do you suggest me for storing data (actually transferring it from DSP to PC) ? Is SD-Card best choice? is it fast enough ?

Sana,

I'm not very familiar with the performance details of the SPI SD interface on the controlCARD. You may need to start a new thread with a targeted subject to attract the SD experts.

You also have the options of using the embedded USB port or XDS100 Virtual COM port to share information directly between the PC and device.

It's typically easiest to buffer the data locally in internal RAM and periodically transmit the data to the PC in bursts.
