CCS/TIDM-1000: PFC Control Card

Part Number: TIDM-1000

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi,

Just curious if there are any disadvantages of using the F280049 Control Card over the F28379D Control Card for the 3 Phase Vienna Rectifier? Currently I am using the F28379D with the AMC1305 for current sensing, are the AMC1305 still usable if I switch to the F280049?

Thank you,

Luke Nicholson

  • I will be concerned a little bit about noise immunity, F283779D the sys clock runs faster hence if you are using synchronization on the GPIOs to mitigate issues of spurious trips you can have some challenges.

What I mean by this is, let's say your layout is not perfect and have some noise, the digital signals can get corrupted and cause issues (think setup time violations etc). Synchronization is a good way to mitigate this however as sys clocks slows down you may have an issue with the synchronizer causing it;s own issues.
