TMS320F28034: GPIO driving capability of F28034 device

Hi expert,

My customer would like to get a graph which shows the relationship between output voltage and current on a "high state" GPIO of F28034. Could you give me a hand?

BTW, will the below circuit capable of drive this transistor?

                Not sure I understand the first question. Per section 5.6 (page 27 of SPRS584L), V(OH) is assured to be a minimum of 2.4v. In other words, when a GPIO pin is high, its o/p voltage will be at least 2.4v (the max value would be equal to VDDIO). Per section 5.4, I(OH) max is 4 or 8 mA (depending on the group that GPIO pin belongs to). So, as long as the external circuit does not draw more than the max I(OH) current, its voltage will be at least 2.4v.

     

    Regret we won’t be able to help in analyzing that analog circuit. Parameters such as voltage, temperature, tolerance and component aging affect the performance of these circuits. The system designer (with the knowledge of everything else connected to this circuit) is best positioned to evaluate the robustness of this design.

  • To reiterate, we don’t have a graph of VOH / IOH to give out. We only provide the two data points – no current out of the pin will result in a voltage level of ~VDDIO. A current draw up to IOH will result in in a voltage level >= VOH
