Support will not issue an RMA without a response from TI in this forum.
A TMDSCNCD28379D (C2000 controlCARD) was purchased for use with the Vienna Rectifier development kit (TIEVM-VIENNARECT).
We have found that the C2000 control card was DOA upon arrival. The following are the specifics:
(1) The control card was installed in the vienna rectifier development kit.
(2) The kit requires a 12VDC bias supply which was properly applied.
(3) AC power was NOT connected to this product yet as the documentation does not require AC power for the first few steps.
(4) We initially noticed that the CPU was not responsive and we could not load code to it via the USB interface.
(5) The 12VDC input power was correct and the voltage regulators on the vienna rectifier assy provided correct voltages (3.3 & 5 VDC)
(6) We also noticed that the CPU was running quite hot to the touch (ouch) and when we looked at it thru the thermal camera the temp was near 100 degC.
